Summary
The emphasis was on "wacky," and terms like "politically correct" were not yet in circulation when this slapstick parody of the western genre charged, Cavalry-style, onto the television screens in mid-1960s America. This Army fort is ramshackle; its captain's a well-meaning if inept nebbish; his girlfriend is naturally if unaccountably obsessed with him making her an "honest woman" despite her execrable cooking; and the sergeant and mildly deranged corporal run the entire enterprise. The local Native American tribe? Better not to ask
