Summary
Gloria is the mother of twins. Her daughter is found brutalized and murdered. Her son leaves college and his NCAA wrestling career behind to return to the scene of the crime and to mourn his sister. He demands that the perpetrator be convicted and imprisoned. He ekes out a living dressed as a chicken for a fast food chicken restaurant. During the ongoing trial, he meets an older woman whose alcoholic husband has been killed and she is left to support her teenage deaf mute son, Clay. Through series of grieving meetings and periods of isolation, each finds ways to support the other and a love affair develops between the older woman and the son. He agrees to accompany her to her various weddings for which she serves as a planner
