Bob Lee Swagger Novel, Book 12
Summary
After pulling off the best shot of his careeer and thwarting a dangerous terrorist, Bob Lee Swagger learns that no good deed goes unpunished. Though his take-down of the would-be assassin nearly cost him his life, the U.S. Congress has summoned him to court. A hardheaded anti-gun congresswoman has accused Swagger of wanton endangerment, determined to make an example of him. Now he must go before a hostile House Judiciary Committee in order to clear his name. But what begins as political posturing soon turns lethal when the hearing is attacked. Swagger, the congresswoman, and dozens of civilians are taken hostage by a bloodthirsty gang. Soon, the very people who had deemed Bob a criminal are depending on him to save their lives. Trapped and still struggling with the injuries from his last assignment, Swagger must rely on his instincts, his shooting skills, and the help of an enigmatic rogue operator on the outside to keep everyone alive . . . or die trying
